KMODDL - Kinematic Models for Design Digital Library
I thought this was a pretty cool website. It gives lots of tutorials and examples of cog and cam type machines you could build.
I found this via a google search for Steampunk, and found the blog http://steampunkworkshop.com And a woman linked to the KMODDL site because she’s using it to help her build a mechanical beating heart for the Burning Man project.
